Epoxy resin B50 – ULTRA DIAMOND CLEAR ANTI-UV is a low-viscosity, highly transparent epoxy resin with excellent UV resistance. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including crystal-clear, glass-like finishes, as well as colored artistic and decorative projects—from small-scale castings to very large, transparent pieces such as "river tables."
Coloring:
JewelCast epoxy resin can be effectively colored using powder or paste pigments. You can also incorporate glow-in-the-dark powders, metallic powders, mica powders, and other additives to achieve a unique, specific look.
The recommended maximum pigment content is 5–6% of the total volume of the resin.
Characteristics:
Mixing ratio: 2:1 by weight
Working time (at 20°C): approx. 16 hours (depending on the quantity of material)
Recommended ambient temperature: 15°C – 20°C (minimum temperature: 10°C)
Exceptional, "ultra-diamond" clarity in both components
Low viscosity – Component A: approx. 550 ± 100 mPa·s; Component B: approx. 110 mPas
Excellent UV protection with HALS additives and a UV blocker (anti-yellowing)
Solvent-free
Non-toxic
Pouring depth (at 20°C): from 0.1 cm to 5.0 cm
Pouring depth (max. 15°C): from 0.1 cm to 35.0 cm (max. diameter 12 cm)
The maximum pouring depth of 5 cm is highly dependent on the ambient temperature. If the temperature exceeds 22°C, the maximum pouring depth will decrease.
Excellent anti-bubble formula for a perfect, bubble-free surface finish
Very low shrinkage (< 0.1%)
Package sizes:
0.75 kg (0.5 kg A + 0.25 kg B)
2.25 kg (1.5 kg A + 0.75 kg B)
3 kg (2 kg A + 1 kg B)
6 kg (4 kg A + 2 kg B)
Note:
When casting over porous materials, it is recommended to first seal the surface with a primer/sealer to prevent bubbles from entering the resin during curing.
The processing temperature (mixing, casting) must not fall below 20°C.
Temperature fluctuations must be avoided during the curing process, as they can negatively affect the cured surface. The mixing ratio for components A and B is by weight. We do not recommend measuring by volume; both components must be... dare!
