Pentart Crystal Resin (Super Glass Resin) is a two-component synthetic resin that becomes completely transparent and highly hard—resembling glass—once cured. After curing, the material is exceptionally durable, stable, and resistant to yellowing.
It offers versatile applications: coating flat surfaces, creating jewelry, or embedding items such as souvenirs or dried flowers.
Features:
The components are mixed in a 1:1 ratio.
A key advantage of this Pentart resin is that it remains crystal clear after drying and does not yellow, even when exposed to UV light.
The resin cures in the air over 24 hours, after which it can be removed from the mold (this applies to thinner layers, approximately 2 mm thick).
After 24 hours, the resin object remains flexible and can still be shaped or bent. After 72 hours, the resin becomes fully hardened, offering high durability and resistance to breakage.
Once poured into a mold, any air bubbles in the resin can be removed by heating the surface with a hairdryer or by spraying it with pure alcohol.
Once cured, the resin can be refined through sanding or smoothing.
Crystal Resin is an excellent choice for casting in silicone molds, filling jewelry settings, or applying a final finish to polymer clay creations. During the mixing process, the resin can be colored using mica powder or pigment pastes, and decorated with glitter, colored flakes, or metallic leaf.
Containers and tools can be cleaned of resin using pure technical alcohol (ethanol or isopropyl alcohol), provided the resin has not yet hardened.
